VEPA HAIR BRUSH

HAIR CARE
Hair is made up of a protein called keratin and grows on the sculp. Each shaft of hair is made of keratin which grows from a follicle beneath the skin.

Each follicle is connected to sebaceous glands which secrete an oily substance known as sebum. In order to have healthy hair you need to wash them regularly. Brushing hair removes dead skin and hair, debris and dust. Normal hair has to be washed at least once or twice a week. Oily hair needs to be washed more often. After rinsing with clean water, hair should be combed gently, before towel or blow drying. Hair should always be gently towel dried with a soft towel. Rubbing the hair vigorously or using rough towel can cause split ends. Hair can be dried with blow driers. However, blow drier should not be held too close to your head. This can burn or dry out the scalp and hair.
If the scalp has dandruff, washing the hair frequently with a pure soap and warm water can be helpful. If having dandruff can't be prevented, you should consult a skin specialist. Hair stuff which is said useful by others may not be safe except on doctor's advice. Personal hair care items such as combs and brushes should be washed frequently in warm soapy water and dried. Apart from health benefits, taking good care of hair is important for having positive outlook which has beneficial effect on personal relations and feeling good.

HAIR PROBLEMS
Every person has 100,000 - 150,000 hair on the scalp. Blondes usually have more hair. Brunettes have slightly thicker than blondes. Hair grows about 1 cm every month. The thickness of a hair is about 0,07mm and 10 cm long hair's weight is 0,7mg. Each hair shaft is made up several layers. Each hair has scales on the outer surface of its shaft which is called cuticle. The main part of the fiber, called the cortex, is composed of spindle-shaped cells of 100 micrometer long and 5 micrometer wide which contains lipoproteins beneath them.

HAIR LOSS
It's totally normal to lose about 100 strands of hair every day. As long as it's a healthy and 85% active hair follicle, hair will continue to develop and grow. Thickness of the hair may change person to person. Brunettes appear to have thicker hair than blondes. However, that is often because brunettes have coarser hair than blondes. Early diagnosis is a key to treating hair loss to prevention..

COMBING AND DRYING HAIR
Combs and hair brushes are very important. Sharp teeth metal combs damage the outer surface of the hair. Therefore it is important to choose the right comb and hair brush. Natural bristles hair brushes prevent hair damage. Hair should always be gently towel dried before blow drying which has to be set to low or medium heat. Natural lotions for excessive heat can be used after washing the hair. Never try to force a comb through a tangle. Hair lotion allows for easy, tangle free combing.

HAIR DANDRUFF
Human skin renews itself constantly; new cells are pushed from the deepest layers to its surface, where they form an outer layer of dead cells which are continually shed. Skin cells are renewed every 4 weeks. Dandruff occurs when the process of cell renewal speeds up. Dandruff is made up of 1000 of small pieces of dead skin cells that sticking together. Dandruff is noticed on shirt and hair.

REASONS FOR DANDRUFF
Dandruff is linked to various factors and reasons such as stress, hormonal imbalance, wrong food combinations, harsh shampoos etc. Shampoos contain Isopropyl Alcohol, hair gel (styling) and hair sprays that dry the scalp out. Therefore dandruff occurs due to the extreme shedding of dead skin cells.

DANDRUFF AND FUNGUS
Dandruff scalp provides an ideal environment for the fungus and especially yeast fungus to grow. When fungus places to upper layer of the skin, it may have role in inflammatory diseases such as dermatitis which causes itchy scalp. Itching can cause the fungus to spread on scalp. Spread of fungus, stress, alcohol, white flour and refined sugar may lead to a weak immune system. Therefore it gets harder to fight with bacteria.

ANTI DANDRUFF SHAMPOOS
Anti dandruff shampoos are a cure for dandruff, but far from a permanent one. The problem returns within a short while of discontinuing usage of the shampoo.

PRECAUTIONS FOR DANDRUFF
1-) Do not wash your hair with hot water and blow-dry it with too hot setting
2-) Do not use shampoos dry your scalp
3-) Do not comb your hair too roughly
4-) Do wash your comb or wash frequently and do not share them
5-) Do prefer green or any healthy herbal tea instead of black tea
6-) Increasing ones intake of salads (mainly raw fruits and vegetables), vitamins B, C and E and zinc ( in the form of foodstuffs rich in these of supplements) and reducing that of fried and dairy foods, nuts and sugar is helpful in reversing the condition of a dandruff affected scalp.

Hair pigment is called melanin, this naturally colors the hair. Gray or white hair results from a decrease in melanin production. The melanin is replaced by air bubbles in the hair shaft. Any of vitamin B complex deficiency reduces the production of melanin Reasons for Vitamin B complex deficiency are, stress, depression, nervousness emotional, processed foods, malnutrition, high intake of refined sugar, animal-foot, dairy and pastries etc. Fattening animal food gives body difficulty when absorbing the vitamins.

The outermost layer of a hair shaft is known as cuticle is formed by tightly packed scales in an overlapping structure similar to tree stump I protects the inner structure of the hair. Environmental factors such as sunlight, heat, chemicals, perm, early tinting, air pollution and wind can damage the cuticle. When the cuticle becomes damaged, the overlapping cells will curl and hair will look dull, will get split ends or even some breakage. Hair has to be protected especially in summer against to solar explosions and sea water. It shouldn't be slept with hair gel on since it makes the hair very fragile and more prone to breakage.
